Riga International Airport

It is the most important airport in the Baltic States. It is located 13 km (8 miles) west of the city and operates with international flights to different points in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, connecting directly with 80 destinations in 30 countries, including a non-stop transatlantic flight to New York-JFK. It has currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, post office, fax and photocopy service, internet kiosks and free Wi-Fi access. In the passenger area there are cafes and restaurants on the second floor, while in the public sector there are two restaurants and two cafes. There are duty free shops, accessories stores, tobacco, alcoholic beverages, souvenirs, regional products, clothing, sweets, newspapers and magazines, cosmetics and jewelry. Different bus lines offer their services to different points of the city, as well as Express that have connections to cities such as Warsaw, Saint Petersburg or Moscow. Outside the Arrivals Hall we find the taxi service, which takes approximately 20 minutes to the city center.
